A culmination of over 30 years of archiving and research, The National Videogame Museum expands on the standard artifact-display point of interest, placing a great deal of importance on the people who created the industry and the stories they have to tell. The museum was founded by John Hardie, Sean Kelly, and Joe Santulli, the creators of the long-running Classic Gaming Expo. Long before there was mainstream interest in classic or “orphaned” games, each had been privately gathering physical artifacts, memorabilia, and information.

Artifacts come from every era of gaming – from rare consoles, to handheld devices, prototypes, computers, virtual reality, board games, memorabilia, arcades and more! Don’t miss the giant Pong machine! The arcade section using tokens, but there are a few units that are display only.

As gamers, we all demanded it: A place where we can learn about the videogame industry’s rich history, where it’s heading next, and how we can all be a part of it. A place where we can meet and expand our vast community of creative and competitive minds. A place that exudes FUN in a permanent home where on any given day we can play the games of yesterday, today AND tomorrow. It’s HAPPENING in Frisco, Texas!

Tickets and memberships can be purchased at the ticket window. Prices are as follows:

  • $12 (general admission)
  • $10 (ages 10 and under)
  • $10 (Senior Citizens, Educators and active Military. Must present valid ID at time of purchase.)
  • Ages 3 and under are free.
  • Individual membership – $34.99
